Will The Lakers Trade Andrew Bynum?

Kobe Bryant Gave It His All In The Lakers Game 5 Loss To The Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder ended the Lakers’ 2011-12 season last night with a 106-90 thumping in Game 5 of the West semifinals.

Russell Westbrook scored 28 points and Kevin Durant added 25. Kobe Bryant tried his best to keep the Lakers in it as he scored 42 points in the loss. In fact, Kobe was the only player that showed up in last nights “must-win” game. He had NO help!

Andrew Bynum Was A No Show In The Lakers Game 5 Loss To The Thunder

Pau Gasol did have 16 rebounds but had a mediocre 14 points and the Lakers needed more than that. But the true question is what hapened to Andrew Bynum? He was a no-show as he scores 10 points with only 4 rebounds! At over seven feet tall, Andrew Bynum should “accidently” get more than 4 rebounds! Yeah, maybe it was Kendrick Perkins defending him but it is highly unlikely because this kid could dominate if he wanted to. The young Bynum has been known to take games off and show no interest at times. And it has driven Lakers’ fans crazy.

One minute Andrew Bynum has a game where he scores 30 plus points and the next game he doesn’t show up at all. Why?
This kid has so much talent and he could be the best center in the NBA if he would just take the bull by the horns and give an A+ effort EVERY game!! But he doesn’t!

Sure this series featured a younger, faster Oklahoma City Thunder team, but Bynum is pretty much the same age as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Durant and Westbrook give it their all every game. In fact, Westbrook tends to get under opposing players skins with his high emotions.

You know the one where he pretends he is shooting two six shooters and putting them in his imaginary holster after he hits a big shot. Whether you like Westbrook or not, the kid balls every night!

Now that the dust has settled and the Lakers head home for the off season, the BIG question remains: Will the Los Angeles Lakers end up trading Andrew Bynum? Laker’s GM Mitch Kupchak has a lot of work to do with this aging LA team. The tide has turned and OKC is now the new kids on the block in the West.
