The Linsanity Continues As Jeremy Lin Wins It With 3-Pointer

Jeremy Lin Goes Up for The Game-Winning 3-Pointer To Beat The Toronto Raptors

The Linsanity travelled into Canada on Tuesday night and didn’t disappoint. Jeremy Lin drilled a 3-point shot in the face of Jose Calderon with point 5 left on the clock.

This is an amazing story that just keeps going and going! Lin’s game-winning shot beat the Toronto Raptors by the score of 90-87 (Video below). But it didn’t look so good in the first half of this game. The Raptors’ Jose Calderon was actually outplaying Jeremy Lin as Toronto built a sizable lead over the Knicks.

But you just knew that some way, somehow, the New York Knicks would make a comeback. After all, they are riding the Linsanity wave right now. They can’t lose! They aren’t supposed to lose. It just can’t happen right now!

With the Raptors leading 75-66 to start the Fourth quarter, Leandro Barbosa scored on a 3-point play to extend Toranto’s lead. But the Knicks heated up and went on a 10-0 run to cut the Raptors’ lead to 78-76.

Jeremy Lin Adds To The Linsanity With His Game Winning Three Over Jose Calderon

With under two minutes left, Toronto was clinging to an 87-84 lead but as it turned out, the Raptors would not score again as they too fell victim to the Linsanity. Toronto’s 3-pont lead went bye-bye as Jeremy Lin split the defense, drove to the basket, made the shot and was fouled. He then hit the free throw to tie the game at 87-87.

After a missed 3 by Barbosa, the Knicks took the ball down the court and Iman Shumpert missed a jumper as Tyson Chandler came down with a huge offensive board. The Knicks worked the ball back to Lin for the final seconds. And you just knew the Linsanity was about to happen…again!

With Jose Calderon guarding him, Jeremy Lin let the clock run down to five seconds left. He then did a fake drive and stop that backed up Calderon and gave Lin an open look at a 3-pointer attempt. Jeremy Lin let it fly and you just knew it was going in. It had to! This is Jeremy Lin! This is Linsanity!….Swish! The Knicks now led 90-87 with point 5 left. The Raptors didn’t score and the New York Knicks went on to win their sixth straight game since the start of this thrill ride. Jeremy Lin ended up scoring 27 points and dishing out 11 assists.

A week and a half ago nobody knew who Jeremy Lin was. I sure didn’t. But the entire nation has caught onto this kid’s dream run. How much longer will this go on?!! New York Knicks’ fans are hoping forever. The Linsanity is alive and kicking and it’s fun to watch. The Linsanity will continue next back in New York at MSG. The New York Knicks take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Should be a fun matchup between Jeremy Lin and the Kings’ Tyreke Evans.
