Jason Heyward 2007 Bowman Chrome Draft Rookie Card #BDPP54
Jason Heyward rookie cards were, without a doubt, the hottest RC on the market back in April-June 2010. With all the hype surrounding Heyward coming out of spring training, it was no wonder that baseball card collectors were bidding like crazy on eBay for the Atlanta Braves young super prospect’s first issues.
And one of those issues that caught fire back then was the Jason Heyward 2007 Bowman Chrome Draft rookie card #BDPP54. This card was selling upwards of $30-$40 and the refractors much more. This card has cooled down a bit, but it is still selling quite well on eBay. I just looked and there are currently 93 auctions up on eBay for the Jason Heyward 2007 Bowman Chrome Draft rookie card #BDPP54.
I also checked completed auctions for this card and the regular Heyward 2007 Bowman Chrome Heyward is selling
for an average of $8-$10 and the Bowman Draft (Non Chrome) is selling for around $5. So, this card has cooled quite
lot since the fire storm back in early 2010, but baseball card collectors are banking that the Jason Heyward 2007 Bowman Chrome Draft rookie card #BDPP54 could start heating up as the 2011 baseball fastly approaches.
Jason Heyward had a solid rookie season in 2010 as the big right fielder hit 18 homers with 72 RBI. Heyward struggled a little down the stretch in 2010 as he kind of hit the rookie wall. Heyward needs to cut down on his strikeouts as he whiffed 128 times in 2010. If he can do that, he could very well be the next big super star in the Major Leagues. And that bodes well for his 2007 and 2008 rookie cards. Atlanta has two of the best young, up and coming potential superstars in Heyward and first base phenom Freddie Freeman.
