In 2010, all of the baseball world was watching the Atlanta Braves spring training season because of some young kid named Jason Heyward. Not much has changed a year later.

Now, in 2011, the baseball world is setting their eyes on the Atlanta Braves once again. Why? Because of their potentially  big star Freddie freeman. The Braves future first baseman is tearing it up in the 2011 spring traning. Through eight games, Freddie Freeman has gone 11 for 24 and is batting .458 with three doubles, two walks and four RBI.

I had never seen this kid play until last week. ESPN was showing the Braves-Tigers game on TV and I got a chance to watch it. What I didn’t realize was just how big Freddie Freeman is. At just 21 years old, this “kid” is built like a man already. Freeman stands 6’5″ tall and weighs in at 220 pounds. Makes a great target for the Braves infielders and he is a perfect build for the
first base position.
