Colts And Redskins Set To Get Luck And RG3

Andrew Luck And Robert Griffin The Third Are Already Set To Go 1-2 In Today's 2012 NFL Draft

The 2012 NFL Draft starts in a little over two hours from now. It will be aired live on ESPN at 8PM ET. Draft day is a huge event for NFL fans everywhere as they are excited to see what new players their favorite teams will go after.

The first two picks of 2012 NFL Draft belong to the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Redskins. Unless you have you have been living in a cave, you probably already know that the Colts will take Andrew Luck out of Stanford with their number one pick and the Redskins will snag Robert Griffin the third out of Baylor with their second pick.

Andrew Luck Is All Smiles As He Goes #1 In The 2012 NFL Draft

The Colts are banking everything on Andrew Luck. They released their future hall of fame quarterback Peyton Manning in the off season and are moving on with hopefully their future quarterback for years to come. Andrew Luck looks like  he will be a sure fire super star in the NFL as he is big, has an accurate arm and is a smart kid. But! as we know, only time will tell! Remember Ryan Leaf? or Rick Mirer?

Mike Shanahan and the Redskins received their number two pick through a trade with the St. Louis Rams, who originally had the #2. But the Rams already have their quarterback in Sam Bradford, so they used this golden pick to try and pick up some other players they are in need of. Over time we will see how smart or dumb this trade was. Just remember this: The Rams could have had RG3!

Many sports analyst, like Skip Bayless, actually believe Robert Griffin III may end up having a better career than Andrew Luck. In my opinion I don’t see that happening. RG3 will be solid I believe, but Andrew Luck should be a once in a lifetime pick.

After the first two picks in today’s draft, it is anyone’s guess as to who will go next. The cool thing about this huge NFL event is the chance to see Mel Kiper and Todd Mcshay’s mock draft. We will see how well their predictions were at the conclusion of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Robert Griffin The Third Gets A Little Lovin After Being Picked #2 In The 2012 NFL Draft

A few other college players that NFL analyst are raving about are Trent Richardson out of Alabama, Morris Claiborne out of LSU, Matt Kalil out of USC, Justin Blackmon out of Oklahoma State and Ryan Tannehill out of Texas A&M.

Just like we did with the 2011 NBA Draft, today we will follow the first 32 picks in round 1 of the 2012 NFL Draft right here in this article. As soon as the picks are selected, they will be added below. Of course, we can already fill in the first two picks before the draft even starts.

UPDATE: ESPN’s Adam Schefter just reported a few minutes ago that the Minnesota Vikings have traded their number three pick to the Cleveland Browns. Here we go already with the jockeying for position..lol!
